The Commonwealth Resounds is an officially accredited Commonwealth musical organisation.

Established in 2005, our mission is to connect musical cultures, and to promote initiatives and partnerships in Commonwealth countries. We have a special focus upon music education and creative enterprise.

Recent projects have included ‘A Song for the Commonwealth’ (Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacons) including more than 800 choirs and musical partners around the world, assisting the BBC with music for the Coronation Concert, running the ABRSM’s ‘Play On’ fund, and partnership programmes with the Antigua and Barbuda Youth Symphony Orchestra. We regularly offer opportunities for young people around the Commonwealth to compose their own music and write songs, and are delighted that the latest collaborative project ‘A Commonwealth Music Relay’ is already generating so much interest and excitement amongst young people in schools and musical organisations everywhere.

Our ongoing mission is to promote and encourage the role of music throughout the Commonwealth as a powerful resource for peace, prosperity, community cohesion and wellbeing.
