Deon Ong has 27 years of experience in teaching music across Brunei, Singapore and Australia. In 2023, Deon led 27 students from Yippy Tune Music School showcasing Brunei and its music talents through a music video collaborating with The Commonwealth Resounds to 20,000 strong attendances at King Charles’ Coronation Concert. The video was broadcasted live to millions of viewers around the world through BBC on the evening of 7th May 2023 in London.
Deon is the founder and principal of Yippy Tune Music School with teaching experience spanning from Yamaha Singapore, Kindermusik and Simply Music in Australia. She has also performed in various international music events including MTV Asia Award.

While in Australia, Deon was recognised with the Most Outstanding Music Teacher Award by the University of Southern Queensland. Her reputation for her excellence in music education has seen her coaching a number of high-profile clients in Brunei as well as receiving invitations to provide master classes, and as a judge for music contests and festivals in Brunei and abroad.
